Why should you always look for evidence in mediumship?

At every talk I give, and in every publication I create, I always start by talking about the need for evidence in mediumship.

There's a reason you should look for it if you're considering booking a mediumship reading for yourself – how on earth do you know who's there if you don't get some evidence? I'm not talking about the usual 'do you have a grandparent in spirit?' because most of us do. You should be looking for something more concrete.

When I do a reading, I hear evidence in literally any form. From a private joke, a quirky saying, or more complex information about how someone felt and experienced a certain event in their lifetime.

The point is – It should make sense to you. It should be something only you and that person understand. It'll make no sense to me, and often I'll feel embarrassed about saying it!

So, next time you look for a medium to read for you, consider asking whether they work evidentially. It's your time, your emotions and your money that you're putting forward when you hire this kind of service. It should both elevate you and validate you.
